Medicare, HMOs, Medicaid, and most private insurance companies provide coverage for durable medical equipment such as electric wheelchairs. If you are not sure whether or not your insurance provides such coverage, we can contact your insurance company for you to find out.


graphic - red diamond   How much of the cost of my power wheelchair or scooter will be covered by insurance?

Based on your policy, your out of pocket expense will be very little or even nothing. Call us and we’ll help you work with your insurance company to determine actual costs.

Even if a lift chair is recommended by the individual's physician, Medicare will currently only pay about $300 for the chair's motor & lifting mechanism, not for the chair itself.
